Essay

All applicants must provide an essay (minimum of 300 words) stating why they are applying for the Kenneth Coats Memorial Scholarship. Please include what your plans for the future consist of and why you believe you should be chosen. Applicant may also include any other details they feel may be pertinent.

Requirements

All persons applying for the Kenneth Coats Memorial Scholarship must be affiliated with local short track racing, either by race track driver, employee, crew member, team owner or family member of any of these. Maximum age of applicant is 22 years old at the time of the award. Only one scholarship per individual.

Transcript

Applicants must submit a copy of their transcript with the application to receive scholarship.

We will award 1-4 scholarships of $500 to $1,000 each.

Scholarship recipients will be announced at the 2011 Children’s Leukemia Foundation of Michigan Dinner. Recipients will be notified and invited to the dinner to receive scholarship, family members will need to purchase tickets.
